Based on a solar install rate of $824/kW and battery rate of $429/kWh (fitted from Island Solar's own recent job costs), NSW/ACT electricity tariffs of 34–37c/kWh (AER Default Market Offer & ICRC 2026–27), feed-in tariffs of 5–6c/kWh (IPART & Evoenergy-network benchmarks 2026–27), average generation of 1,350 kWh/kW/year for the Canberra/South-East NSW region, and a grid emissions factor of 0.64kg CO₂-e/kWh (National Greenhouse Accounts Factors 2025, shared across NSW & ACT). Self-consumption assumptions vary by usage pattern and battery selection. The ACT sources its electricity supply as 100% renewable via a government purchasing scheme, which doesn't change the physical grid factor used here but is worth knowing about.
